Minor Road Bridges

Humes offers a range of precast and prestressed concrete solutions for minor road bridge applications, suitable for spans from 2m to 21m.

These systems provide efficient construction, long-term durability and flexible design outcomes for road, rail and pedestrian crossings.

Triple cell one piece arch installation.

Humes’ precast arch system provides a high-performance, cost-effective solution for minor road bridges, combining structural efficiency with strong visual appeal. Arch units are suited to a wide range of applications, offering spans from 6m to 21m and heights up to 7.5m.

HumeDeck® modular bridge system

The HumeDeck® modular bridge system provides a cost-effective solution for small to medium-span bridges, suitable for both new construction and the upgrade of existing structures. Designed for efficient installation and long-term performance, HumeDeck® units combine the deck and girder into a single precast element, delivering spans from 6m to 12m with minimal maintenance and flexibility to suit site-specific requirements.

Multiple cell box culvert installation with Linkslab® units.

Humes precast concrete box culverts provide an effective solution for minor road bridge and crossing applications, particularly where rapid installation and minimal excavation are required. Designed to carry heavy wheel loads with little or no overfill, box culverts are available in a wide range of spans and configurations, including multi-cell arrangements using Linkslab® and Uniculvert® modular systems to improve constructability and maximise waterway width.

Bridge decking

Humes supplies a range of prestressed decks, girders and slab systems suitable for minor road bridge applications, including HumeSlab® and HumeSpan™ solutions. These systems support efficient construction and durable performance, accommodating varied geometries, localised load conditions and site-specific design requirements.

Steel Reinforced Concrete Pipes

Humes stormwater pipes and headwalls are an ideal solution for road crossings over waterways with minimal backfill requirements. Humes reinforced concrete pipes are available from DN225 to DN3600 in standard strength (Class 2-4) and super strength (Class 6-10) load classes.
