Lower-Carbon Innovation – FutureCast

FutureCast is our precast concrete range designed to meet modern performance requirements while improving environmental transparency.

Incorporating a minimum of 25% Supplementary Cementitious Materials (SCM), FutureCast reduces embodied carbon while maintaining the strength, durability and compliance required under Australian Standards.

Backed by third-party verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) registered with EPD Australasia, FutureCast enables informed, data-driven decisions during design and procurement — without compromising performance.

Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs)

Transparency is fundamental to meaningful sustainability progress.

Humes holds third-party verified Environmental Product Declarations covering our precast and prestressed concrete products, as well as reinforced concrete drainage pipes manufactured across Australia.

An EPD provides independently verified, comparable life-cycle environmental data — enabling designers, contractors and asset owners to understand embodied carbon impacts and make informed material choices.

By providing product-specific, locally relevant data, we support Infrastructure Sustainability and Green Star rating requirements while helping projects meet evolving tender expectations.
