Steel Reinforced Concrete Pipes
Humes manufactures steel reinforced concrete pipes for trench, aggressive environment and trenchless jacking applications. The range is designed to accommodate a wide variety of hydraulic, structural and installation requirements while delivering long-term durability.
Trench Pipes
Humes offers a wide range of pipe diameters, lengths, and classes to meet our customers’ project needs.
Pipe ranges and configurations include:
- Diameters from DN300 to DN3600
- Standard strength (Class 2–4) and super strength (Class 6–10) load classes
- Typical 2.4m lengths, with alternative lengths available on request
- Flush joint and rubber ring joint options
A full range of job-specific fittings is also available, including bends, junctions, reducers and steel adaptors. All fittings are manufactured from standard steel reinforced concrete pipe, ensuring consistent performance across the pipeline. Pipes are manufactured and factory tested to AS/NZS 4058:2007 Precast Concrete Pipes (Pressure and Non-Pressure), with custom manufacture and testing available to suit specific project requirements.
Salt Water Cover
Humes can provide an additional internal concrete lining over the standard 10mm reinforcement cover in spun concrete pipes. This sacrificial layer is designed to protect the reinforcement and ensure the pipe remains structurally sound throughout its design life.
Jacking Pipes
Humes offers a comprehensive range of steel reinforced concrete jacking pipes for trenchless installations where controlled axial load transfer and joint performance are critical.
Jacking pipe options include:
- Butt Joint Jacking Pipes – a cost-effective solution for short drives where high flexibility or soil- or watertight joints are not required
- In-Wall Joint Jacking Pipes – flexible watertight joints for short-length installations
- S Series Jacking Pipes – high axial load transfer capacity with a flexible watertight joint, available in DN300 to DN700
- J Series Jacking Pipes – high axial load transfer capacity with flexible watertight joints, including interjack configurations, available in DN800 to DN2100
Standard jacking pipes are available from DN300 to DN3600 in Class 4. Humes also offers a range of permanent and temporary shafts to support jacking installations.
