Stormwater Pits
Humes manufactures a wide range of custom and modular precast pit systems for stormwater applications. The range includes lids, grates and covers, base units and risers, as well as a variety of street furniture to suit different applications and local authority requirements. The ability to customise components for each project provides greater design flexibility and installation efficiency.
Custom Precast Pits
Humes can design and manufacture custom pits to suit specific pipeline requirements. Sizes range from 700mm square to 2,100mm and above, with pit depths and penetration locations tailored to each project to reduce construction time and on-site costs. Pits can be designed to be trafficable to SM1600 highway load conditions, with typical ground bearing capacities up to 150kPa.
Modular Precast Pits
Modular pits are suitable for junction pits, kerb inlet pits and grated inlets. Units are manufactured with knockouts on all four sides to allow for efficient pipe installation. Standard pit sizes range from 450mm square to 1,200mm square, with a maximum pipe size of DN900.
Humes pit systems are fully compatible with the broader range of Humes stormwater pipes, kerb inlet systems and drainage products.
