Sewage transfer and storage solutions

Humes has developed a range of solutions to maximise durability, and even eliminate the potential adverse effects of sewerage aggressives (e.g. sulphuric acid attack) which can exist in sewer pipeline systems.

Humes provide a number of specialty solutions where sulphide generation will be present within a pipeline:

  • Additional cover to reinforcement for systems where there is insufficient data on future flow characteristics.
  • Sacrificial layer concrete for highly corrosive environments.
  • A calcareous aggregate mix for inhibiting the progress of chemical attack.
  • Corrosion protection linings for protection against chemical attack.

SRCP - standard

Humes provides a comprehensive range of steel reinforced concrete sewerage pipes.

Sacrificial layer concrete

This sacrificial layer is designed to ensure the pipe is structurally sound at the end of its design life.

Calcareous aggregate

Concrete pipes manufactured from suitable calcium rich aggregate provide added resistance to acidic corrosion.
