We are excited to announce our plan to construct this new state-of-the-art precast concrete manufacturing facility at Swanbank Enterprise Park, Ipswich, South East Queensland.

The 14 Ha greenfield development, 35 km from the Brisbane CBD and 10km from the Ipswich CBD, will strategically locate Humes to supply pipe and precast concrete products to the South East Queensland region for many years. Humes looks forward to becoming an important part of the Ipswich community and promoting jobs in the region.

The new manufacturing facility will increase the safety of work practices, reduce waste and increase production efficiencies for a more sustainable manufacturing business. World best manufacturing practices will be employed, across the complete range of products the market expects from Humes.

The project’s Development Application (DA) was recently approved by Ipswich City Council with construction still on track to commence later in 2012.
