Trenchless Australasia 2008

The Trenchless Australasia 2008 Conference and Exhibition was held in early March at Homebush — location of the 2000 Olympic Games.

The Exhibition itself is a lively and important event as it provides first-hand access to key suppliers and their products, from both Australia and further a field.

Humes has had a long relationship with the Australasian Society for Trenchless Technology and at this year's exhibition, our trade display featured our premium range of our jacking products.

It was also a proud moment when it was announced that Humes had won the ASTT Project of the Year Award (new construction category) — for our significant contribution to trenchless construction in 2007.

The winning project was the Perth Main Sewer (Section Six), a project in which our Welshpool manufacturing facility provided significant quantities of Plastiline J-Series pipes, interjack stations, and bends.

Our other entry submission, the SEQ Water Grid featuring the 3-metre long J-Series pipe, was also recognised as a project finalist.
