About Pipes Wagga
The first Pipes Wagga conference was held in 1991 as a forum to discuss options for renovating and replacing long service concrete sewer pipes as laid in Wagga some 80 years prior. However, it soon became apparent that the workshop would be of value to a wider group of organisations involved with water engineering and thus the bi-annual Pipes Wagga Conference was born.
This year John Tuxworth (Humes National Manager for Pipeline Systems) presented a paper ‘Specification and Quality Assured Installation of Corrosion Protection Liners’, a paper that Mr. Daniel Bosco (Managing Director, Bluey Technologies) and Mr. Alex Terry (General Mamanger, Anchor Lining Systems) also co-wrote.
The paper dealt with corrosion protection liners (CPLs) and how they may be utilised to provide maximum asset life, and hence maximum investment return, for the majority of sewerage structures, which are potentially susceptible to attack by Hydrogen sulphide and Sulphuric Acid.
