Humes Vocational Employment Program

The Humes Vocational Employment Program is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience with the leading supplier of precast civil structures and pipeline system components in Australia.

A split 5 week program (aligned with university holidays) provides students with experience in all core areas of the Humes business including:

  • Civil structures design
  • Business & finance management
  • Safety & manufacture
  • Sales & marketing

The initial assignment will see the successful candidate/s placed for 2 weeks with our Technical Design Department, located within the national office at Milton, in Brisbane, Queensland.

Successful candidates will be proactive in nature, presentable, results orientated and lateral thinkers able to function outside the 'engineering' square.

It should also be noted that participants will be favourably considered to further participate in the Humes Graduate Program - potentially leading to excellent career prospects within the support structure of a multi-national organisation.

Selection Criteria

  • 3rd & 4th year Civil Engineering (or Civil/Business double degree) students only need apply.
  • Applicants should have undertaken structural design and concrete subjects/electives (with ACAD and finite element analysis capabilities of advantage)
